Definitive treatment for septol perforation is surgery, however, it is only done for people who have symptoms of the condition. The techniques used in this kind of kurgery are numerous, however, they each have their own shortcomings, to tackle them, Dr. Goran has invented a new technique, in which a piece of cartilage/bone is used to support the flap that covers the perforation. Due to the succes of the technique, Dr. Goran has also published a study describing the technique, and the study is now published in one of the most well-known journals in ENT surgery.

Pneumocephalus is when air is trapped inside the skull, and the term Tension Pneumocephalus is when the air can only go in without coming out. It happens due to defects in the base of the skull due to trauma or surgeries and is an emergency condition. Most surgeons treat this condition through open approaches, however, Dr. Goran has invented a new approach in which the condition is treated endoscopically with 2 different techniques together.

There are many factors that can cause breathing difficulties as a complication post-rhinoplasty, these include technical issues during the operation. Technical issues during rhinoplasties include malcorrection of the septum and not giving enough attention to many discrete and minute anatomical landmarks of the nose, including the nasal valve, soft triangle, nostrils and wings of the nostrils (alae nasi).

Dr. Goran has invented a new technique to correct and prevent complications of the soft triangles and nasal valves, besides these, the technique also helps with correcting the shape of the nostril during the operation. Therefor leading to no breathing difficculties as a postoperative complication and better overall satisfaction.

Crooked nose is one of the most difficult types of noses for rhinoplasty, since most of the times, the structure should be corrected outside of the nasal framework. This is an example of a patient with a crooked nose who had rhinoplasty about 1 year ago by Dr. Goran. In the pictures you can see preoperative pictures, and 2 sets of postoperative pictures, after 1 month and after a year. Also, you can find some pictures taken in the surgical theatre before and after the rhinoplasty.

Cholesteatoma is a growth inside the middle ear cavity and mastoid bone. It can be due to many causes and can cause many symptoms, including sense of pressure inside the ear, foul smelling discharge from the ear, diziness and hearing problems. Mostly, the treatment of such cases are surgical. Dr. Goran performs these surgeries with new techniques and the best devices in the field. Although not fully known throughout patients, rhinoplasty has many types. These types depend on the type of the nose. However, all of these types should end up with a natural-looking nose, which depends on the many angles on ones face that can give the exact proportions of what that persons nose should like. In the picture here, it can be seen that the patient has a crooked nose, meaning that the nose hasn’t followed a straight line down the face. Therefore, the type of rhinoplasty would have to be tailored to that crooked nose, which is what Dr. Goran performed here.

In order to tackle nasal polyposis and especially its recurrence, Dr. Goran has done many research to find solutions regarding the matter. In one of the papers, which can be found in his Google Scholar Page in the "About Dr. Goran" section in this website, he studied the previous papers done on the matter and showed the significance of a simple blood test in predicting nasal polyposis recurrence after endoscopic removal. Also, in 3 paper PhD thesis, he developed a classification system which helps assign different severities of nasal polyposis to different surgeries to prevent radical surgeries being done for a rather simple pathology and vice versa.

Dr. Goran has invented a new technique in Ear surgery. In this technique, Dr. Goran uses cartilage from the external ear (Pinna) to re-sculpt the bony framework in the middle ear thus aiding in sound conduction. According to his paper about the technique, and the research that was done on the matter, it yields better results that most of the prosthetics that are used worldwide for the same purposes. It is worthwhile to mention that this technique is for patients who have chronic suppurative otitis media.

These images show preoperative (Left) and postoperative (Right) views of a patient who underwent rhinoplasty, through a technique called extracorporeal rhinoplasty. In this technique, the nasal framework is disjoined, corrected then re-attached to its base.

The technique is mostly used in patients with major nasal deformities (eg. Crooked Nose) and despite being difficult and technically complex, it ensures appreciable functional and cosmetic results.

As one of the leading rhinologists in the region, Dr. Goran invented a new technique to make sure patients with more challenging nose shapes (e.g. crooked noses) get the best outcome without any complications in the future. The new technique's name is "Sling-Bridge Technique". The efficiency and details of the technique can be found in one of his latest papers, which is published in one of the leading journals in Surgery.
